Green Valley Educational Institute had the honour of representing Jammu and Kashmir/Ladakh at the North Zone Zonal-Level Round of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge (WWGC) 2026, organised by WWF-India at its headquarters in New Delhi.
The school was represented by Mohammad Arsh and Syeda Amatullah Bareerah, who participated in the zonal-level competition under the guidance of school coordinators Ms Anees Fatima and Ms Numila Qadri. GVEI had the distinction of being the only school from Jammu and Kashmir to participate in this round, making the occasion a proud milestone for the institution.
The challenge, themed “From Coastline to the Seafloor: An Ocean Odyssey,” aimed to deepen students’ understanding of oceans, marine ecosystems, wildlife, biodiversity, and conservation. With approximately 7,00,700 students from 4,162 schools across 25 States and Union Territories participating in the challenge, the opportunity to represent the region at the zonal level was particularly significant.
The participation provided students with valuable exposure, encouraged environmental awareness, and offered an opportunity to engage with participants from across the North Zone. Green Valley Educational Institute appreciates WWF-India for providing this meaningful platform and congratulates the students and coordinators on representing the region with pride.
