A team from the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) visited the school today to review the implementation of the Y-SMilES (Young – Stronger India through a Million Health-Educated Students) Programme being conducted in collaboration with CBSE.
During the visit, Dr. Anurag Kumar and Dr. Naveen Prashar interacted with students of Classes 6 to 10 and conducted an informative health awareness session focusing on lifestyle-related diseases, particularly fatty liver disease. Students were educated about its causes, early signs and preventive measures.
Following the student interaction, the doctors also held a session with the HRTs of Classes 6 to 12 to discuss the programme’s implementation and health education strategies.
The programme commenced with Activities Incharge, Ms. Afreen, briefing students about the objectives of the Y-SMilES initiative. Addressing students, Vise Principal, Mr. Imran Gul also encouraged students to make informed lifestyle choices.
Academic Officer, Mr. Hilal observed and appreciated the session.
