Green Valley Educational Institute, Srinagar, organised “The Verbal Canvas,” an initiative aimed at strengthening students’ communication skills, confidence, expression, and public-speaking abilities.

The event was organised by the Elocution Club ( Ms. Anis ) playing a key role in preparing and mentoring the participating students. Her dedicated efforts in training the students and refining their presentation skills contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the programme.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani, Director, School Education, Kashmir Division, as the Chief Guest. The distinguished guests included Mr. Gulam Hassan Reshi, OSD with Director, School Education Kashmir; Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz, Media Advisor, Directorate of School Education Kashmir; Mr. Ghulam Mohidin Bhat, Chief Education Officer, Srinagar; Dr. Arif Ahmad, Deputy Director Academic, BOSE; Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Senior Academic Officer and Head EPM&M, DIET SCERT J&K; Mr Nazrul Islam baba , president private school association, and Mr. M. D. Zargar, Ex-Principal, GVEI.

The programme was also attended by Chairperson Mr. M. Y Wani , Principal Mr. Riyaz Kathjoo, members of the school management,faculty members, and parents of the participating students. The presence of the esteemed guests and members of the school community added significance to the initiative.

The Verbal Canvas focused on the significance of effective communication, confidence, articulation, voice modulation, expression, body language, stage presence, and the ability to engage an audience.The participating students presented their prepared pieces with confidence and enthusiasm, demonstrating the skills they had developed through their elocution training.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani, appreciated the initiative and encouraged the students to continue developing their communication and public-speaking abilities.

The parents also expressed their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging the efforts of the school in providing students with opportunities that contribute to their overall development beyond academics.
