The Department of Activities today organised an awareness programme on ‘Digital Safety and Protection Against Online Abuse’ for girls of classes 6th to 12th. The session was conducted by Roshan Bachpan, a youth-led organisation founded by Ayaat Azeem, G.V.E.I student of Grade 12.

The programme aimed to sensitise students about the growing risks in the digital space and ways to stay safe online. The session began with an interactive address on forms of online abuse and responsible digital behaviour, followed by a short film highlighting the same. An engaging Q&A session also followed providing practical safety tips on recognising online traps. The programme concluded with a digital safety quiz and certificate distribution for participants.

Chairman, M.Y. Wani, present on the occasion appreciated the initiative, encouraging students to organise more such awareness programmes. Principal, Riyaz Kathjoo, reiterated that digital safety is a priority and urged students to act responsibly in the online space.
