The Department of Activities today organised a folk theatre performance of “ Jaegeer ” conducted by Shahkaar Cultural Society under the Cultural Function and Production Grant Scheme of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Renowned cultural activist Altaf Hussain led the programme.

Centered on the theme of economic exploitation during earlier times, the play promoted the Kashmiri language, theatre, and cultural heritage through performing arts. A number of theatre artists participated in the performance, which was keenly observed and appreciated by SSD students.

Chairman Mr. M.Y. Wani, Principal Mr. Riyaz Kathjoo, School Manager Mr. Ishtiyaq Wani and Activities Head Mr. Rafi Badri were present on the occasion and witnessed the performance. The programme was hosted by, Ms. Afreen (Department of Activities) who also presented the vote of thanks.
