The UPD Department – Girls, under the coordination of Ms. Saba, organised a cultural and educational event titled “Old Kashmir vs New Kashmir” at the School Playground. The event provided students with an opportunity to explore and present the evolving story of Kashmir through their own perspective.

The programme highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Old Kashmir, with students showcasing traditional elements such as the Samovar, Kangri, Pheran, traditional crafts, and other aspects of Kashmiri life and customs. Alongside this, the students presented the vision of New Kashmir, focusing on progress in education, development, modern opportunities, and future aspirations.

Through their creative presentations and displays, the students beautifully brought together Kashmir’s rich heritage and evolving present, highlighting the significance of preserving cultural traditions while embracing progress. The event served as an engaging and meaningful learning experience, fostering cultural awareness, creativity, and a sense of pride among the students.
